Accounts Assistant

New opportunity to join the Leeds Graphic Packaging Finance Department.

The role is based in Leeds on a fulltime, (Monday-Friday) permanent basis

Job purpose

To assist the Finance Department in several areas to help aid the completion of the monthly management accounts, specific areas of focusing include; raw material stock, inventory counts, accounts payable processing, Costing and Leases.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities

Ensure all general ledger entries are efficient, accurate and timely, to make sure all figures can be reported with confidence and on time

Analysis of costs at month end, ensuring that costs are adequately reported at month end

Inventory analysis, ensuring month end cut off procedures are adhered to, to include attendance and co-ordinating stock takes

Assist with Purchase Ledger processing and ensure month end cut off procedures are adhered to

Monthly analysis of GRNI (good receipt not invoiced) and PFS (paid for stock) reconciliations

Responsible for Costing Administration in relation to WIP calculations and variances, investigating and resolving issues

Responsible for leases reconciliation

Other adhoc duties

Required Qualifications & Key Competencies

AAT, or studying ACCA/CIMA

High standard of numeracy and literacy

Excellent IT Skills (Excel essential)

2+ years relevant experience

Strong commercial acumen

Diplomatic, and able to build and develop working relationships

Well organised and proactive

Accurate, with attention to detail
