GPI Hoogerheide recently hosted a group of 31 children from a local elementary school. The class was working on a geography project regarding international production sites and learning about factories, raw materials, and how and where products are made. One student is the granddaughter of a GPI Hoogerheide employee who works in the logistics department, and she excitedly suggested her class pay a visit to the facility to learn more.
After a short introduction to GPI by Operations Manager Nico Wondergem, the group was split in four groups for a tour around the factory. It went very well and the whole group enjoyed the interesting and educational visit.
While the group may have been too young to recruit for career prospects at GPI, several of them left the facility excited at the possibility of working there one day.
