The Brief

Intended as a high end Christmas product for a high street retailer, this gift pack was to include two bottles of Kopparberg and a Specialty glass.  Maximum visibility of the products was required, however it was essential that the items remained isolated within the packaging to prevent possible breakage.

What we did

Bespoke APET window patches ensured product isolation, and a number of quality checks during production ensured the quality of the high value product would be maintained.

The product

Collaborating with Ben Bolt, Creative Designer from Blue Tree Gifts 620um Korsnas White board was identified as being ideal for this project owing to its strength and bright white printing surface.  The board surface was initially reverse printed, then flipped and printed on coated surface – the eye catching varnish effect used over black print creates rays shining from the Kopparberg logo.   The integrity of the product is maintained through the clever use of a dual pick and place window, used in conjunction with a concealed vac-forming which holds the items in place.

The extra mile

From 2015 Front & Reverse print method used for this project could be completed in one pass via Graphic Packaging International Verso™ technique using the new 8 colour Heidelberg Speedmaster XL B1-format perfecting press.
